Khimti 1 Hydropower Project is one of the first privately funded hydropower projects in Nepal.  The project was funded from Norway and NHE was able to secure significant subcontract work by demonstrating a willingness and ability to improve our capability so that it met the stringent technical requirements.

Scope of NHE work

1. Manufacture, installation and testing of 600m penstock pipe
2.

Manufacture and installation of gates, stoplogs and trashracks including radial gate.

3.

Manufacture of turbine housings from cut plates

4. Installation of powerhouse.
5.

Manufacture and installation of substations

Rolling of 2m diameter penstock with thickness of 30mm using the rolling machine at our Butwal factory.
